Emerald Eyes: The Focal Point
Commanding attention with an audacious display of green, emerald eyes emerges as the quintessential embodiment of St. Patrick's Day exuberance. As an artisanal collective, WarPaint International Artisans adeptly harness the vibrancy and depth of these verdant shades, crafting eye looks that are as captivating and spirited as the emerald isles themselves, ensuring your gaze is as enchanting as Celtic lore.
Shimmering Shadows
Embrace the allure of metallics with a sweep of shimmering green shadows. The glisten of emerald and olive catches the light, enchanting onlookers with a bewitching glint.
Accent the eyes with a high-pigment shadow in verdant hues, interlaced with a shimmer that catches every glimpse. A subtle patina or bright Kelly green enhances this spectral dance of light and color.
“St. Patrick’s Day makeup transcends tradition with innovative vibrancy.”
WarPaint International Artisans meticulously layer these iridescent powders, ensuring they meld seamlessly with your natural beauty. The result is an ethereal allure, a reflection of the rich tapestry that is the heart of this celebratory day.
Bold Liner & Lashes
The eyes speak volumes, and St. Patrick's Day is the perfect opportunity to amplify your gaze with striking liner and voluptuous lashes.
Prime Your Lids: Start with a robust eye primer to ensure your bold liner stays put from the first parade to the last pint.
Graphic Lines: Choose a waterproof, jet-black liner to create a winged look or graphic shapes that command attention.
Green Accents: Introduce a hint of holiday spirit with a thin streak of green liner above the black or along the lower lash line.
False Lashes: Add drama with full, fluttery lashes that elevate your look to new heights of glamour.
Secure and Set: Finish with a strong-hold lash glue and a dusting of setting powder around the eyes to lock everything in place. Attaining symmetry and enduring appeal requires a deft hand; WarPaint International Artisans stand ready to sculpt your ideal look.
A bold liner and lashes are not just makeup choices; they are a proclamation of personality and festive flair.

Leprechaun Lips: Kiss Me, I’m Irish
When thinking of St. Patrick's Day, often vibrant greens and pots of gold spring to mind. Yet, when curating your look for the holiday festivities, consider the enchanting appeal of a well-crafted lip. The proper hue and texture can be just as impactful as any emerald eyeshadow or accessory.
In this spirit, a bold lip—in shades of crimson or deep wine—can add a surprising, yet harmonious contrast to the traditional green palette. Selecting a lasting matte lipstick will ensure your pout remains impeccable through every toast and spirited conversation. Allow WarPaint International Artisans to expertly match the ideal shade to your skin tone, creating a cohesive and stunning overall appearance.
A touch of gloss can also be applied, providing a luscious sheen that plays well with the softer springtime light. Trust in the mastery of WarPaint International Artisans to achieve that flawless, "Kiss Me, I'm Irish" allure that will certainly turn heads and invite compliments.
Matte Greens and Glossy Golds
The allure of matte greens is undeniable on St. Patrick's Day, offering a chic twist on the traditional celebration hues. Deep forest or olive tones give a sophisticated edge, blending seamlessly with the festive atmosphere.
Glossy gold accents provide a luxurious complement to matte greens. Applied deftly, they can elevate your look into the realm of elegance.
Consider pairing velvety matte eyeshadows with strategically placed highlights of golden shimmer, capturing the essence of St. Patrick's magic while maintaining a refined appearance. WarPaint International Artisans are well-versed in achieving this delicate balance, ensuring your makeup is both enchanting and event-appropriate.
As for the ultimate St. Patrick's Day expression, imagine a sweep of matte green across the lids, coupled with a dab of gold at the inner corners for a touch of glam. WarPaint International Artisans are skilled in such detailed application, not only enhancing the eyes but also ensuring your look remains durable throughout the festivities. Such artistry allows you to embrace the jubilant spirit of the day while maintaining a presence that epitomizes polish and sophistication.
Ombre Effect
The ombre effect is a stellar choice for St. Patrick's Day festivities, melding hues of green from dark to light with artistic finesse. WarPaint International Artisans excel at this gradient technique, creating a seamless transition between shades.
An ombre lip pairs beautifully with subtler eyes, striking a perfect balance.
When considering hairstyles to complement the ombre makeup, think about incorporating braids with interwoven ribbons of green, or perhaps subtle green hair extensions. Our artisans skillfully integrate these elements, ensuring that your look is not only uniquely festive but also exudes a level of class and fashion-forward design. In the hands of our adept team, you'll be transformed into a vision of St. Patrick's Day sophistication, ready to capture the spirit of the celebration.

Irish Dancers Hair Inspiration in Chicago
WPI Beauty Artisan Gina Martell, a Hairstylist in Chicago, offers her St. Patrick's Day hair looks that were inspired by the Irish dancers that are associated with St Patrick's Day and the Irish heritage. Gina perfected her Celtic hairstyle on a mannequin training head.
I wanted to create a version of those tight curls while incorporating greens and orange.
About Gina's St. Patty's Day Hair Look
Her “model” Samantha had the perfect length of hair! Artisan Gina explains “I'm obsessed with how her hair took to the long, square wand iron from Hot Tools that I used.” The products used were from Davines. Their "This is a dry texturizer" spray is used to create a fluffy hold. "Oi Oil" to smooth and add shine, and "blowdry primer" spray as a heat setting spray helped to create this look.
Artisan Gina also used clip-in synthetic hair and orange spray chalk for vibrant pops of color.

Embracing Peach Fuzz: WarPaint International Beauty Agency's Tribute to the Color of the Year for 2024
Once upon a modern-day, in a world brimming with color and creativity, a hue named "Peach Fuzz" was crowned the Pantone Color of the Year for 2024. This wasn't just any color; it was a symbol of warmth, comfort, and a fresh start. WarPaint International Beauty Agency, known for its on-site makeup artistry, embraced this trend with open arms, creating makeup looks that pay homage to this delightful shade.
The Pantone Color of The Year in Makeup Looks
Once upon a modern-day, in a world brimming with color and creativity, a hue named "Peach Fuzz" was crowned the Pantone Color of the Year for 2024. This wasn't just any color; it was a symbol of warmth, comfort, and a fresh start. WarPaint International Beauty Agency, known for its on-site makeup artistry, embraced this trend with open arms, creating makeup looks that pay homage to this delightful shade. Their mission? To empower everyday women with the confidence to wear these trends to their special events, not just admire them from afar on fashion runways.
The "Peach Fuzz" Phenomenon
Pantone's selection of "Peach Fuzz" as the color of the year resonated deeply with women seeking a touch of softness and approachability in their makeup. According to a survey by the Global Color Authority, about 68% of women felt more inclined towards makeup shades that conveyed a sense of comfort and optimism in 2024. WarPaint International's adoption of this trend in their makeup services is a response to this growing desire.
The Psychology Behind Peach Fuzz
According to Tiffany Hanken Design’s blog, Pantone’s selection of Peach Fuzz is not just about aesthetics; it’s a reflection of the collective mood. Pantone often chooses colors that resonate with the current societal pulse. This year, Peach Fuzz symbolizes a tender, compassionate outlook, representing a global desire for gentleness and understanding. This is, after all, where we all long to be… in a comfortable place that makes us feel at ease with the world and our own spaces.
WarPaint International’s Peach Fuzz-Inspired Looks
WarPaint International has crafted a series of 3 makeup looks that are more than just a nod to "Peach Fuzz". These looks are versatile, and designed for the real woman who books on-site makeup appointments for events ranging from corporate galas to intimate dinner dates, fashion shows, and more! Each look has a description by the Artisan who shared the products used in their own submission.

It’s an artful expression that transcends boundaries—you can even adorn your face with this warrior mask of makeup for a simple selfie at home, turning moments of discomfort into an empowering canvas of happiness.

Wearable Glamour: Peach Fuzz Makeup Look No. 2
Our second Peach Fuzz-inspired makeup look was created by Artisan Maggie Wiermaa on our Minneapolis/St. Paul team.
I wanted my look to be wearable, glamorous, and elegant. Easily worn to a formal event or for a fun night out. I love sparkly eyes so I chose to wrap rhinestones (I found on Amazon) around each eye using “original” Duo lash glue and a jewel applicator (also on Amazon) to secure each one.
This look could be worn without the rhinestones to the same type of events or a daytime look. I lined the inner eye upper and lower with Mac “graph black” liner. I used Kiss “trio” lashes along with the previous Duo lash glue and placed 4 on top with a little space in between each one and two on the outer corners of the bottom lashes after first applying Lancôme “cils boost” eyelash primer and Mac “in extreme dimension” mascara.
For the foundation, I used Mac “Studio Fix Fluid” for a little more coverage as I’m dealing with a breakout at the moment. I set with Mac “mineralized skinfinish” powder followed by a Mac contour in “bone beige”, NARS blush in “Montezuma” and Mac “mineralize skinfinish soft and gentle” for the highlight on the upper cheekbone, nose, and brow bone.
For the lips, I used Maybelline lip vinyl in “peachy” and a clear gloss on top. Don’t forget your setting spray! I love a combo of first spraying MAC prep and prime “fix + spray” for hydration and Urban Decay “All-nighter spray” to really hold it in place. I hope, with this look, you can easily incorporate a peachy vibe into your everyday routine or glamorous night out!
The rhinestones will be your final step. I kept the eye pretty simple otherwise. Prepped with MAC “painterly” paint pot. Then topped with a blended-out peachy tone from the Morphe “pretty in peach” palette on the whole lid to above the crease. Then press on Urban Decay's “midnight cowboy” moon dust shadow on the lid to the crease and inner corner of the eyes - top and underneath.
Whimsical Energy: Peach Fuzz Makeup Look No. 3
Our third Peach Fuzz-inspired makeup look was created by Artisan Keely Boline on our Minneapolis/St. Paul team.
Embark on a whimsical style journey, merging anime's energetic influence with nostalgic 90s/Y2K fashion. Infuse playful colors like Pantone's Color of the Year- Peach Fuzz Pink, graphic tees, and "mom jeans." Elevate the look with pastel makeup and bold eyeliners, echoing Scott Pilgrim's eclectic style. Picture a unique ensemble ideal for a date night at the arcade, mini golf, or a concert under the stars. Achieve dewy, "glazed donut" like skin, highlighted to be seen from outer space, bold blush dancing across the bridge of the nose and completed with faux white freckles. Let your style adventure unfold as a vibrant blend of peachy hues and '90s nostalgia

Taking The Mystery Out Of Myths: Dispelling Old Wives’ Tales About Beauty Rituals
“Beauty is pain” is an age-old expression used to rationalize the great lengths women endure to uphold or bolster their appearance. Beliefs like this can come at a cost and send conflicting messages that make it difficult to navigate the realm of beauty.
Dispelling Old Wives’ Tales About Beauty Rituals
“Beauty is pain” is an age-old expression used to rationalize the great lengths women endure to uphold or bolster their appearance. Beliefs like this can come at a cost and send conflicting messages that make it difficult to navigate the realm of beauty.
Consider some of the old wives’ tales regarding beauty that have been passed down through generations, like: “If you pluck grey hairs, more will grow back,” or, “You can shrink your pores by splashing cold water on your face.” Combine those with the proclaimed “top tips” from magazines, and the overwhelming amount of cosmetic advertisements that continuously surface, and the beauty realm quickly turns into a game of Two Truths and a Lie — where a player tells two truths and one lie, and we’re left to determine which statement is, in fact, the false one.
So to help preserve your well-being (and sanity), we’re unraveling widespread beauty myths to help you find the best approaches to your beauty regimen and to know which ones to avoid.
Perpetual misconceptions about makeup
Makeup is a form of art that serves as an outlet for self-expression and creativity at any age. For many, the first experience with makeup can feel like a rite of passage or transition into womanhood. From this moment on, we are given endless pointers on the “shoulds” and “should nots” of choosing and applying makeup, which follow us throughout adulthood. But there comes the point where advice turns illusory.
Did you know that many believe women over a certain age should not use glittery or shimmery makeup like eyeshadow? Previous studies show a significant shift in makeup usage as a woman ages, noting that women start using less eyeshadow as they approach the age of 45, due to the belief that sparkles draw attention to fine lines and wrinkles.
However, shimmery shades can breathe life into the eyes of any age! The key to making your makeup look just as good at 40 as it did at 20 is using a moisturizer prior to applying makeup. Moisturizer hydrates the skin which smooths the appearance of fine lines. Not to mention moisturizers that contain SPF can protect against wrinkle-causing sun damage. Regardless, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so don’t be afraid to experiment with your look and express yourself with colors and shades that represent your unique personality, no matter your age.

Influencer impact on beauty trends and myths
Much of our beauty inspiration and beloved products come from social media marketing by today’s top beauty influencers. It’s no surprise then, that Kylie Jenner, one of the most influential faces of the makeup industry, attributes her success of becoming the youngest self-made billionaire to her online presence and 175 million-plus followers. Unfortunately, social media can backfire, and in this instance, unintentionally spark a dangerous beauty trend that further supported the myth that lip plumpers work.
Seeing as Kylie Jenner’s claim to fame is undoubtedly her luscious lips, followers were quick to jump on the Kylie Jenner Lip Challenge in pursuit of a perfect pout. The idea behind the challenge is to place a small cup over the lips while sucking out air in a vacuum effect to achieve fuller looking lips. But experts warn against DIY lip plumping. Not only does the KJLC pose a significant risk of swelling, bruising and scarring, but even glosses advertised as “lip plumpers” are also harmful as they contain ingredients that irritate the lips inducing temporarily swelling. “The only products that can plump your lips are injectable fillers containing hyaluronic acid, like Juvéderm’s Volbella,” according to world-renowned cosmetic dermatologist Michele Green, MD.

Homemade hacks and natural remedies
Rumor has it that a dab of toothpaste on a pesky pimple will banish the blemish. While there is some method to this madness, it can actually do more harm than good. The idea behind this beauty myth? Certain ingredients in toothpaste have a drying effect which may decrease inflammation and appear to shrink the size of a pimple. However, toothpaste is more of a foe than friend to our skin. Toothpaste has a high probability of irritating the skin through burning or over-drying. Additionally, dry skin triggers oil production leading to further breakouts. If breakouts are becoming a burden, or you want to prevent pimples from forming in the first place, you’re better off seeking out a prescription acne treatment or medication. But the rumor mill doesn’t stop at our skin — it extends to our hair and nails too.
They say the only time a woman is helpless is when her nail polish is drying, and if one thing is for sure, it’s just that. There’s nothing more frustrating than ruining a perfectly polished pedicure or manicure. Amid the quest to minimize nail polish drying time stems the myth that ice-cold water will dry your nail polisher faster. But patience is a virtue, which is why you won’t find yourself soaking your nails in ice water at a salon. “Getting polish to dry requires evaporation of solvents, which can’t happen when your nails are submerged in water,” affirms nail expert Lauren B. of luxury polish brand Lauren B. Beauty. “Ice water may only harden the top layer of your polish, which will leave the underlying layers wet and prone to dents.”
Speaking of luxury... high-end products and beauty industry professionals provide greater peace of mind and a better bang for your buck than the majority of DIY remedies. Which is why hair stylists and experts have remarked on the hair hack that lemon juice is effective for lightening hair, which turns out to be a half-truth at best. Rachel Bodt, a senior colorist at Cutler/Redken salon, maintains “natural lightening really only works if you have fair hair with a fine texture to begin with.” Bodt goes on to explain that if you have dark brown or black hair, lemon juice and other DIY natural recipes won't lighten your hair. Even worse, the acidity of lemon juice can damage hair. So if you’re thinking of going blonde for the summer, or more importantly, for a big event like your wedding, hire a trusted stylist.

It’s hard to resist the temptation to jump on the bandwagon when it comes to beauty trends and tips. After all, we love shortcuts and anything else that appears to make our lives easier. But if we readily believe and rely on hearsay, we can wind up sabotaging our wellbeing by damaging our skin, hair, and nails. Above all, our health should be our number one priority, so stay informed before trying any beauty hacks by researching ingredients and talking with a medical or beauty industry professional.

Inside the Exciting New World of Plus-Size Beauty and Makeup
Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, but you’d never be able to tell that from flipping through the pages of your typical fashion magazine. Up until recently, beauty campaigns fronted by plus-size models were a rarity. And although plus-size models in fashion have been thriving as of late, it’s been a slower climb for their makeup industry counterparts.
Indeed, most beauty diversity movements have been centered around race, gender, and age. We’ve got transgender models walking runways, and models of color like Nyakim Gatwetch making headlines. However, the same can’t be said for size inclusivity in the world of makeup. It’s alarming to think that this is all despite the fact that 68% of women in America are in the plus-size range. But what exactly has kept the industry from evolving for so long?
A long time coming
In fashion and beauty, brands have profited from telling people what they should do, feel, or look like. Unfortunately, not everyone can force themselves into a mold, and what happens is they end up underserved and under-represented. Body positive fashion company Woman Within emphasizes the importance of helping women love what they wear — a gap that is being addressed by more and more clothing brands today. In the past, plus-size consumers have struggled finding stylish clothes outside the realm of billowy shirts and baggy pants. But although it’s been a welcome change, size inclusivity feels even more revolutionary for beauty. While fashion companies get standing ovations for extending their range or featuring curvy models, beauty brands don’t. And when bodies aren’t involved in advertising imagery, why bother?
Plus-size model Philomena Kwao states that a lot of it has to do with make-up brands refusing to challenge norms. “I’ve never been [casted] for commercial work,” she told The New York Times. “People are scared to try something new. It’s like, ‘I have a formula, why change it?’” But every person has a body, and every person has a face. Each one should be represented when it comes to any product.
Breaking barriers, one brand at a time
Fortunately, there are some make-up brands that are redefining beauty. Last year, Sephora released its most progressive campaign yet, featuring a diverse roster of their own employees of different sizes, races, and ages.

Wet n Wild's Breaking Beauty campaign is another one worth an honorable mention. Their line-up of personalities includes a model with albinism, a transgender model, and weightlifter/plus-size model Brianna Marquez.

Prior to that, cult beauty brand Glossier broke the internet with their Body Hero campaign, fronted by plus-size model Paloma Elsesser. According to Elsesser, it was a milestone both for the industry and herself, having grown up without a role model to identify with. “I didn’t even know plus-sized modeling was a thing,” she told People. “Growing up, people would say, ‘You have such a pretty face.’ It’s backhanded, but we have to stomach it.”

Small steps towards progress
At the moment, size inclusivity and diversity are having their moment. But in truth, these movements mean more to people than just being the next hottest trend or marketing ploy. While there are risks like tokenism, Elsesser feels that the end more than justifies the means. “We have to tokenize in order to normalize,” she argues. “The more that we see one Asian model, one black model, one plus-size model, it’s like people are dipping their toes, and the other foot goes in and then we’re neck deep and we just have to continue until it’s just not a ‘thing.’”

More Women Are Bringing Hair & Makeup To The Delivery Room
More and more women are hiring beauty services on-site in one place you might have thought of - the delivery room. It's no secret that women feel better when they look better and that is our goal with delivering hair and makeup services to new mothers.
Birthing Center Beauty Services
More and more women are hiring beauty services on-site, in one place you might not have thought of - the delivery room.
You might not think of yourself as a celebrity, or rather one who needs to be camera-ready 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, but whether you realize it or not we have all celebritized ourselves in some small way by living out our lives on social media. So when celebrity stars are booking beauty professionals to come into the birthing center to have their hair and makeup done, it might seem to be "too much" or not for you. The truth is, the trend took off quite some time ago and WarPaint International has been beautifying new moms for their after-delivery photo sessions for a couple of years now. And though we've worked with the wives of professional athletes from the Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Wild, there are certainly women without A-list status booking WarPaint Artisans in the delivery room too.
WPI Founder, Jessica Mae, started her mission with this beauty agency with the idea that Life is a stage - "Prepare For Battle". This growing trend of delivery room beauty services couldn't be more grounded in our tagline.
When to book
Today we will always see new mothers sharing photos of their newborn baby in the delivery room, whether it be on social media, their photo albums on their phone or in their home. What image would you like your friends and family to see? There's simply no reason to LOOK like you just went through labor when you don't have to.
“Hair is not the only focus - many moms are now also reporting calling in on-site makeup artists to finish the look in the delivery room. ”
Many women look back at their memories from the hospital and wish they would have looked a bit more put together, as they'll be sharing and reminiscing about those memories for the rest of their life. Maybe you'd like to hang it on your bedroom wall or in the baby's room.
Media outlets across the United States have reported on the growing trend of stylists arriving at hospitals with their kits of curling irons, hair sprays, etc to style a new mom's hair after labor, but before photos. Hair is not the only focus though - many moms are now also reporting calling in on-site makeup artists to finish the look. Presumably you don't want to do it yourself...

So when is the time to call on these beauty professionals? Some women have their beauty team glam them up during labor because their focus is that moment directly after birth with their newborn baby. Some have hired a professional photographer to come into the delivery room sometime after birth to get newborn photos after they've decompressed from this major life event. The later seems like a less stressful plan, but it's entirely up to you and your baby.
Look like yourself
If you follow the stars, you probably haven't forgotten Kate Middleton stepping out in high heels and with perfectly bouncy hair after delivering newborn Charlotte? Other stars such as Beyonce emerged form childbirth with a head of voluminous, shiny curls while holding baby Blue Ivy years back.

So let's be clear - you don't need to keep up with the Jones's. Celebrity personalities are followed by the media everywhere they go. Whether they look good or shabby, it's never quite right and always news-worthy. So they opt to be fabulous and drive the standard - whether they like it or not. It's just part of the job.
You're not a celebrity. So we've identified you're not a celebrity, therefore, it's not about waving at the cameras as you leave the birthing center. You want to look like you, but with a fresh face and nice hair. That's really the focus of what we're talking about here and as a professional beauty agency catering to these growing needs, this is where we come in. So what are our tips and advice for bringing on-site beauty services into the delivery room?
No lashes and bold colors
If your focus is to capture the memory than keep it all about you. You will already have a natural glow and smile that surfaces only once or twice in a lifetime. We would never prescribe a red carpet look or something you might do for a night on the town. That's not you - that's a version of you that isn't having a baby. Most of the clients that we work with in birthing centers keep it simple with a fresh, natural face and nicely manicured hairstyle.
Embrace the comfort
It's true, some clients report that there is comfort in having beauty services done either during their delivery or directly after. Women that can't comprehend having this done often have the comment that they wouldn't want people in their face and it's too excessive, but for some the opposite is true. Some moms report feeling reduced nerves and actually being able to focus on the pampering vs the labor. For those that hire beauty-on-demand services to come in after childbirth with their photographer, there seems to be a whole new level of luxury and relaxation in the beautifying process. It's really all about making mom comfortable.
Trust in your team
Should you opt for delivery room beauty services, you have to put trust in your team. You've sourced a professional or two.. you've hired them for the job. Now, just relax and let them take care of you - trust me when I tell you that they are having a memorable life experience alongside you that can not be replicated the same way again with anyone else. Memories and relationships are all that you have.
Keep it about feeling your best
Ultimately, labor is a grueling experience, even with painkillers. It's no secret that women feel better when they look better and that is our goal with delivering hair and makeup services to new mothers. Because although looking and feeling better is a key element for your photo memories, feeling really good about yourself and how you reflect on your memories is what it's all about.
Why Should You Hire a Beauty Agency
Well, not all beauty agencies are built the same. In fact, many are not agencies - they are freelance artists who contract a few other people. Whether you are a new mom, a bride-to-be or hiring on-site services in your home or office, there are many factors to consider outside the skillset or reputation of a particular artist.
How about your safety? How about the safety of your family and loved ones? At WarPaint International, our team goes through an onboarding process that we believe to be unique. At first, we interview our Artisans, we then technically test them for skillsets, customer service and hygiene practices with products, brushes, etc. From there, our Hair Stylists and Makeup Artists go through national criminal background checks. We look for everything and we do turn people down because we hold a very high standard when it comes to trust and safety in our client's homes, hotel rooms, delivery rooms and offices.

The skin is clean, simple and beautiful. Some of these looks showcase a nude palette with earthy tones and some are a bit bold by showcasing a pop of color (blue is the hottest SS 2016 trend this season!)
