Nurse Lindsey’s 3 Days of Lipstick

With all the focus on our frontline workers during these challenging times, we wanted to give nurses and healthcare workers everywhere some simple makeup inspiration. So we reached out to our friend Lindsey Kuehl, who is a Minneapolis healthcare worker and also a Minneapolis model.

Now, you don’t have to be a model to wear these lipsticks or achieve these simple looks. But Lindsey loves her Instagram and knows how to take a great natural light photo.

She did these looks for us in her home.

Lindsey’s Lipstick Day 1

The first lipstick look, in blue scrubs, is done with Elixery Cosmetics “Lakshmi”. Lakshmi, named after The Hindu Goddess of Beauty and Wealth, was born atop a glittering lotus flower. To Her devotees, she grants prosperity.

Lindsey’s Lipstick Day 2

The second lipstick look, in light blue scrubs, is Tempest - also from Elixery Cosmetics. Tempest is a hard lipstick color to describe. Brown? Pink? A faint bluish shimmer? Some would call this "mauve" but Elixery tries to avoid that description (because mauve is technically purple - and Tempest is definitely not purple.)

It is a sheer color, nude on deeper skin tones and neutral on paler complexions. It's a gorgeous everyday color, perfect for the board room, and sexy enough for the bedroom, as they say. A perennial favorite.
